Introduction to Treeline Camping

Treeline Camps is your twisps best local destination for Camping. The parking isn’t that great this year, but lots of suprises are in store for future camping experience. In the mean time i will explain some of the pleasantries and pitfalls. the property is 1 mile to twisp central. is close to 2 acres in heavily forest terrain on the river, Old growth Cottonwood, Pine, and aspen. it is at the junction of twisp river road and poor man creek mean time you can pick between 4 sites. ranging in size and suitabilities.

history back in 1934 was a great flood. it wiped out row after row of bridges along the river. The concrete erection on the edge of the river and was one of the main roads to go up twisp river. Now it is our campsite. one of these old bridges.

Cottonwood Tree Goes by Different names. In Certain Conditions and in The spring time you can smell The most Fragrant Aroma Permeate the campground. From the cottonwood buds, also known as the balm of gilliad. the cottonwood trees growing around the campgrounds can also be dangerous there limbs can be hard and snap suddenly. but are very interesting because each tree drinks up to 75 gallons of water every day.

One Tree Stands out mightily in the midst of the all the cottonwood and aspen a giant multi-stemmed pine tree. Quite the amazing site and to stand around it.

Some Dry days are super dry and you can smell the dry pine needles in the air. very invigorating.

The Topography of this location is interesting. It must be at the closest range of the valley walls before the river confluences with the Methow valley river at the Twisp Central Park, 1.1 mile away. The Narrow Gap between the valley walls creates a corridor for wildlife to transfer. though its very safe. its an opportunity to live up close and next to and in it.

The Bad

Parking at the moment is limited. maybe three car in the road access. there is a place to park on the side of the road just before and after the poorman creek bridge.

There is no flusing toilets, There is Private enclosures with buckets and toilet lids with saw dust. The buckets are plastic bag lined and can be closed and replaced if felt necassary.

There is no WiFi or internet service. though it is so close to town it is still far from it. it is nice to be off the grid. and disconnect sometimes. besides its close to town. and will still plan on installing at least a phone line soon.

There is no electricty. that is okay. we do have a power generator if you want to use it. please just be curtious of other campers because it is noisy. soon we will get alternative energy resources to mitigate this.

Dangers abound, it is close to the wilderness. the tree branches can fall at any time. winds can be worse. the water can sweep you away. (during high season.) and bears and cougar and fires.

The good

Rent all the campsites and you can have your own private festivities. Lots of space, Cool Location, Provisions (catering, hospitality) optionally included.

Town is close. walk or drive a mile and can get reception.

Beautiful once in a lifetime opportunity.

Rules

Fire Readiness. Every Campsite is equipped with a fire extinquisher. get famaliar with it. There is no smoking on the campground. even if you where to smoke on the road please be mindful of ashes. there will be designated ashtrays. and down the road may get smoking places. fires in this place can be very dangerous. not just to us but the entire city. There are places where pine needles lay up to 6-12 inches.

Child and elderly non-friendly Awareness.
